issue is, they can't even decide to make English complusory for their O levels. Many can't even speak or write in basic English

They say must maintain their Chinese roots. So it's not possible to use English to teach Maths & Science in Chinese Schools in M'sia, tat's wat they said

I dunno I have some Malaysian friends who can't really speak Malay and their Mandarin sucks.

They are Chinese btw. But their English is excellent
